This sight is dedicated to the promotion of safety in the operation of Seaplanes in and around the great state of Texas.  this site will be of interest to both Pilots that fly seaplanes or that are interested in learning to fly seaplanes as well as the general public.  this site is also dedicated to provide seaplane pilots information on where they can purchase fuel, lodging and events for seaplanes, not just in Texas but also around the country.  You will find fun as well as useful links to browse.

SPECIAL NOTE

on 18 February 1999 State Representative and seaplane pilot Arlene Wohlgemuth along with SPA Field Director John Cuny introduced House bill 1620.  Our great governor George Bush signed this bill into law   which as of 1 September 1999, now permits seaplanes to operate on all state waters that are open to motorboats, and prevent municipalities from regulating or requiring permits or fees for the operation of seaplane.  The measure does not apply to federal waterways, such as those owned by the us army corps of engineers.  to view this bill in its entirety Go to the Water Bill of rights page.  to download a copy for your files and keep in your airplane - go here!
